CREEPY - Zombie Apocalypse (post on behalf of J.Watson)
Before
Dr. Watson can join billy and Sherlock in their new enterprise he has to resign
his current position. Now it probably goes without saying that billy can not
identify the actual name of John’s employer here, but suffice to say it is a
workplace like most work places, a cubicle farm that has become the ubiquitous
scenery of the 21 century employment scene. John it would appear works in the
creepiest place on earth. He sits in one of the smallest and most forwardly
positioned cells of a group, meaning there is constantly someone situated
behind him. The work stations are oriented so that in a normal working position
his back faces the common access area, where not only people
that belong in his cell block come and go, potentially anyone in the building
can move freely behind him at any time. Normally his back faces this well
trodden path (yes trodden, check out the ingrained dirt) by no more than six
feet. Even creepier, no one moves with the same agility. He can hear some
people coming from miles away as they tromp up and down (a distraction in its
own rite), others move so silently, as if attempting to glide over rice paper
without so much as a whisper. This environment breeds a mixture of justifiable
paranoia and constant distraction, or anticipation thereof. John can’t wait to
join billy and Sherlock. billy asks, rhetorically: {a beat} Is this not CREEPY?

Sherlock Holmes and billy
billy
would like to let all the fan club members know, he has started out on a new
business venture, he has become a private
consulting detective. A chance encounter with a Mr. Sherlock Holmes at one
of the fan club meetings (a special meeting held at New Scotland Yard in London,
hosted by Mr. Lastrade) has set billy down this path. After numerous
conversations with Sherlock it was agreed that they should combine their
limited resources and found this new venture. Sherlock admitted he used to be
involved in a like venture a few years ago but had retired and was missing the
action. For a few years now he had been looking to get back in the game and was
just waiting for the right opportunity and partner to present themselves. His
fascination and attraction to the bdFC and the man himself seemed to be the
ticket, and felt very natural for him. It would be quite the adventure,
Sherlock admitted to billy in one of their earlier meetings. The foundation
would probably have come sooner but Sherlock had some urgent business to take
care of in Switzerland.
Upon returning he contacted billy and seemed more than ready to get things
underway. They have not yet managed to establish or find premises for the new
office, although they are looking at a very attractive office suite with
connected apartments at a location downtown. Sherlock had shown billy his accommodations
at Baker Street in London and was hoping for something similar. billy has been
kind enough to provide a few pictures (seen below) of the time when he and
Sherlock first visited the premises.
Their
office address has not been established just yet and if anyone wishes to
consult with the team on any matter best to do it via the fan club email or
leave a voice mail message, for now. billy and Sherlock have guaranteed that
they will respond immediately to any inquiries even without the establishment
of proper or more permanent dwellings. Anyone wishing to engage b and S to take
a look at their case is urged to contact either partner through the available
channels. All inquiries will receive a hand written response signed by both billy
and Sherlock. They vow to keep all dealings with clients in the strictest
confidence and in most cases have no intention of charging any fees over and
above reasonable amount to cover expenses. An acquaintance of Sherlock’s will
look after financial matters (more on this individual later). They have made it
clear that, even though they will initially review all cases presented to them,
they will only investigate the most challenging and singularly unique cases
that come their way.
billy
also reports that Sherlock seems to get about accompanied by a nice companion,
a John Watson, not sure what their relationship is yet, but he seems very
friendly. It brings to mind another acquaintance of billy’s, the Doctor, he traveled around with some fine companions too. John seems to tag along
wherever Sherlock goes; he also seems to be in the habit of taking copious
notes all the time. He has a certain inquisitive and disciplined nature about
him, rather like someone who may have served time with the police.
Update:
A landlord, a strange looking man with a twisted lip, has informed billy and Sherlock
that an apartment at 221D may be available, the current resident of the
adjoining apartment at 221B has unfortunately renewed his lease.
